Completing sentence suggestions

1st condition:

• If + present + future.

If you want, I will help you.

2nd condition:

• If + past + would + V1

If I saw you, I would call.

3rd condition:

• If + past perfect + would have + V3

If I had seen you, I would have called you.

• Would that / I wish +……. + I were

I wish I were a king.

• It is high time to go there.

It is high time I went there.

It is high time for me to go there.

As if / As though / since:

• Present + as if / as though + past

He behave as if he were a king.🌟🌟

• Past + as if / as though + past perfect. 

He behaved as if he had been a king.

Would you mind / with a view to:

• Would you mind + v+ing… 

Would you mind giving me a cup of tea.

I will go there with a view to giving exam.

• He is too old to walk.

• It is too heavy for me to carry.

So that / so…..  that:

• He is so weak that he cannot walk.

• He was so weak that he could not walk.

• He is strong so that he can work hard.

Lest:

• …… lest + sub + should + v1

Walk fast lest we should miss the class.

While:

• Past + While +……..  = v+ ing

He saw me while eating.

• Past + While + sub + ……  = past continuous 

We saw a snake while we were passing the jungle.

No sooner hand:

• No sooner had + past + than + past.

No sooner had he reached the station than the train left the station.

• Since বাক্যের আগে থাকলে অর্থ হয়ে যেহেতু। 

Practice set:
